IMPORTANT NOTE: This hackathon is open to Kijiji Canada employees only.

  • The theme of the hackathon is "The Future of Kijiji".
  • Some ideas include building a Google Home voice version of Kijiji, use machine learning to identify objects in a photo and make it easier to post an ad, etc.
  • Sign up to this site to join the hackathon - teams can only be up to 3 people.
  • The hackathon will officially run between October 17 and November 6th, 2019.
  • During 10% Happier Day on November 6th, you'll be able to work in Moosejaw to complete your hackathon project.
  • At 3:00 PM on November 6th, judging will begin. The criteria for judging includes: originality, innovation, working demo. Higher scores will be given to projects with working code.
  • Join our internal Slack channel #ca-kijiji-hackathon for updates about the hackathon.
  • Use your Ebay account to set up a repo for your project. Check the wiki for more details!
